950年代初頭、USAFのライトゾーン用フライトジャケットとして登場したL-2Aを背景にした一着。

陸軍航空軍から独立したばかりの米空軍を象徴する濃紺系のカラーリングは、短期間の採用ゆえに後年のセージグリーン系とは異なる特別な存在感を持つ。

フライトジャケットは本来、狭いコックピットで動きやすく、装備に干渉しにくい短丈の機能服。 戦後は軍放出品を通してストリートや音楽、モーターサイクル文化にも広がった。

This jacket is inspired by the L-2A, which debuted in the early 1950s as a flight jacket for the USAF’s “Light Zone.”

Its deep navy color scheme—symbolizing the U.S. Air Force, which had just separated from the Army Air Forces—holds a special significance distinct from the sage green variants of later years, largely due to its brief period of service.

Flight jackets were originally functional garments with a short cut designed to allow ease of movement in cramped cockpits and to avoid interfering with equipment.

After the war, they spread to street fashion, music, and motorcycle culture through military surplus.

This jacket has been reimagined with a focus on its rounded silhouette and the character of well-worn nylon, capturing the journey from practical utility to cultural icon.
